Vision Statement:
- NCM is a seminar and small group ministry founded in 1993 to proclaim and further the Gospel message through application of Biblical concepts to people's lives in the areas of nutrition and wellness. Nutrition-related health issues are often complex, requiring focused attention in multiple domains of health, including spirituality. Plans for health behavior change in these areas are more accurately designed when individuals better understand the issues involved and include appropriate supports. When these issues are considered in the context of themes and life stories shared in community, individuals gain perspective, courage, hope, and vision to live life as God designed.
Mission Statement:
- The mission of NCM is to conduct seminars providing time and space to consider nutrition-related health issues, focusing on spiritual implications. Seminars may include small group follow-up for application of concepts within the context of a supportive network. On occasion, individual appointments provide a setting to discuss sensitive issues related to nutrition and wellness.
Values Statement:
- NCM is operated as a home-based ministry. Activities performed in service are generally conducted on a volunteer basis. Churches requesting ministry services provide for seminar logistics and resources necessary to conduct ministry activities.
- Health education and health promotion activities are provided as qualified by an earned doctorate in health education & health promotion. Nutrition counseling and education activities are provided within the scope of practice as a registered, licensed dietitian.
